ScriptSense — Bulk Upload Template

Three ways to get a compliant registration header onto a test before you print, photocopy, and scan it for Bulk Upload. All three use the same header spec described in the User Manual.

A blank, ruled answer booklet with the registration header already in place. Use this when the test questions are delivered another way — read aloud, on the board, or a separate handout — and students just need somewhere correctly-marked to write.

!
None of the following can be set from this page — they only exist inside the print dialog that opens, so set them there by hand: choose one-sided or two-sided, and enter your class size in the Copies field (one packet per student).
Also in that dialog: turn on Background graphics (otherwise the marker blocks and ruled lines won't print at all — browsers skip backgrounds by default), uncheck Headers and footers, and choose Fit to page if your printer uses A4 paper.

A starter document with the registration header locked into place at the top and an open, ordinary editable area below it — this is the one to use when you're composing an actual test, not just printing blank pages.

Opens directly in Microsoft Word. To turn it into a Google Doc instead, upload it to Google Drive and it will convert automatically — the header table survives the conversion.

This file was hand-built and hasn't been visually verified in Word or Google Docs. Before relying on it for a real class, print one copy, fill it out, scan it into a test batch PDF, and run it through Bulk Upload once to confirm the header is detected.
The locked table at the top is marked "Do not delete, move, or resize this row" inside the file itself — that warning travels with the document even after it's copied, emailed, or reused next year.

Already building your own document from scratch? Copy just the header below and paste it as the very first thing in a blank Google Doc — before any other text.

You can also paste it into a page header instead of the body, if you'd rather it stay out of the flowing text — but only if you first check "Different first page" in Google Docs' header options (Insert → Headers & footers → Header options). Without that checked, a header repeats on every page and would fracture every multi-page test into separate "papers."

If the button doesn't work in your browser, click inside the boxed area above, select all of it (Ctrl/Cmd+A within the box), copy (Ctrl/Cmd+C), then paste into your Doc.
